On January 19, 2024, a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, Chairman of the Board of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC Almat Ashirbekov, Managing Director of Baiterek National Holding JSC Niyaz Koshkimbaev and others visited the Pavlodar region on a working visit.

As part of the trip, the delegation got acquainted with the organization of the work of the social farmers' market "Zhailau" and took part in the presentation of a pilot project on the traceability of livestock products in the Pavlodar region.

A pilot project for introducing the module “Veterinary and sanitary examination of meat” was launched in pilot mode in Almaty, Pavlodar, and Zhetysu regions.

In addition, as part of the visit, a meeting was held on the development of irrigated agriculture, which was attended by farmers from the Pavlodar region and, through remote communication, from other regions of Kazakhstan.

Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin noted the importance of this issue.

“We will develop all regions, there is potential, we have very big goals. In general, to reach a million, two hundred million hectares in a few years. We are now ready to finance these projects through the ACC, partly through the experience of SKO. The task is to increase the area not just of irrigated land, but to apply modern irrigation methods,” he emphasized. 

In turn, Almat Ashirbekov, Chairman of the Board of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC, answered questions from farmers during the meeting.
