The name of a resident of Astana who was the first to apply for a loan under the youth microcredit program has become known. This is Kundyz Muratbekova. 34-year-old Kundyz received 5 million tenge on preferential terms and plans to spend the funds on expanding her business. The young entrepreneur makes and sells various wooden products - souvenirs, boxes. Demand for wood products is high, she said. Due to the increase in the number of orders, Kundyz plans to purchase additional equipment necessary for the business. “It’s gratifying that our country has such an opportunity to develop youth business,” says Kundyz Muratbekova. To date, the capital branch of the Agrarian Credit Corporation has accepted 91 applications from young people, and 18 applications have been approved. This year, 2.8 billion tenge was allocated for preferential lending to 560 young entrepreneurs living in Astana.
