Application Intake for Livestock Insurance Continues

Livestock insurance is available year-round. State support in this area is provided through a subsidy covering 80% of the insurance premium.

The voluntary agricultural insurance system allows farmers to insure cattle, small ruminants, horses, and poultry across the entire territory of Kazakhstan.

To apply for insurance, farmers must use the QALQAN online insurance service available on the Kezekte.kz platform. All steps—from signing the contract to receiving insurance payouts—are conducted online using the farmer’s electronic digital signature (EDS).

In the personal account of the online insurance system, the farmer must specify the insured animals, which must be registered in the "Identification of Agricultural Animals" information system, select an insurance company, sign a contract, and pay 20% of the insurance premium. The remaining 80% of the premium will be paid by the Operator in the form of a subsidy based on the insurer's application.

Agrarian Credit Corporation encourages livestock farmers in Kazakhstan to take advantage of the insurance tool to protect their animals and poultry against the risk of infectious and particularly dangerous diseases, accidents, hazardous natural phenomena—including floods, natural disasters, fires, and theft.
