Agrarian Credit Corporation takes part in the Field Day

The Agrarian Credit Corporation takes part in the specialized exhibition-demonstration “Kazakhstan Field Day “Jańa Dala/GreenDay 2022”. The event annually acts as a large-scale platform for the exchange of experience and the development of business contacts between domestic and foreign farmers.

As the Head of State K. Tokayev noted in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan "New Kazakhstan: the path of renewal and modernization" in March 2022, in the current extremely unstable international situation, ensuring the country's food security is of great importance.

The Agrarian Credit Corporation provides loans to projects in the field of agriculture. So, in the first half of 2022, the corporation allocated 182.5 billion tenge to finance about 7,000 farmers.

“A short-term loan of 70 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for spring field and harvesting work, then the Government decided to allocate an additional 70 billion tenge for these purposes. Thus, the amount of funding for these purposes this year has been doubled. For timely financing before the receipt of additional funds, the corporation began lending to agribusiness entities from its own funds; at present, these loans are already being replaced by budgetary funds. In general, in 2022, the corporation plans to allocate 330 billion tenge to finance agricultural producers,” said Olzhas Baimakhanov, deputy director of the branch of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC in Nur-Sultan.

At the exhibition-demonstration, the employees of the corporation consult on the financing of agricultural producers for the participants of the exhibition. Lending is carried out under three programs: Ken Dala, Agribusiness, Isker. Loans are issued for the development of animal husbandry, crop production, projects for the processing of agricultural products to both large and small agricultural producers.

In general, the corporation issued 57.9 billion tenge through direct lending, through funding of financial institutions (credit partnerships, microfinance organizations, second-tier banks and leasing companies) - 124.6 billion tenge.

In addition, the corporation provides agency services for agricultural insurance. There are programs to insure crops against lack and excess of moisture, pastures, as well as multi-risk programs for insurance of cattle, small cattle, horses, and poultry. The cost of insurance for farmers is reduced through subsidies: 50% of the insurance premium is paid by the state.

The Field Day "Jańa Dala/GreenDay 2022", which is held annually in the Akmola region, is an effective platform for demonstrating advanced developments in the field of agriculture, exchanging experience and developing business contacts between domestic and foreign farmers. Traditionally, more than 5 thousand people take part in it, more than 30 companies demonstrate agricultural machinery and equipment in operation, seminars, round tables and master classes are held.
