The first loan under the “Bereke” preferential lending programme for livestock farming has been issued in the Akmola Region. Yerementau Astyk 2014 LLP received financing of KZT 2 billion to purchase breeding small ruminants. The funds will enable the farm to increase its breeding stock and expand production. Yerementau Astyk 2014 LLP was established in 2023. The investors acquired an abandoned production facility and restored it using their own funds. Today, the enterprise employs 15 people. The farm’s main activity is the breeding and fattening of small ruminants. The farm is currently expanding its feedlot, increasing its capacity to 30,000 head. As of today, the livestock population stands at approximately 1,000 head. Financing under the “Bereke” programme is aimed at increasing the breeding stock and further developing the sheep farming operation. The “Bereke” programme was launched in 2026 as part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Livestock Farming for 2026–2030, developed pursuant to the instructions of the Head of State. The mechanism provides preferential financing for livestock farming projects and is aimed at increasing livestock numbers, developing breeding activities, and expanding the production capacities of domestic farms.
