More than 116 billion tenge has been allocated from the Government's reserve to support domestic farmers. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. This decision was made in accordance with the directive of the Head of State, given at an expanded Government meeting on January 28, 2025, to ensure concessional financing for sowing and harvesting operations in an amount of at least 700 billion tenge. Specifically, to support agricultural producers with accessible financing and stabilize the financial situation of farmers, the decree provides for the allocation of more than 116 billion tenge from the Government's reserve. The funds are intended to finance agribusiness entities for the successful execution of the 2025 spring fieldwork and harvesting, as well as the purchase of domestically produced agricultural machinery. This will be implemented through subsidizing coupon payments on bonds issued by Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC and KazAgroFinance JSC—to further finance the acquisition and assembly of domestic agricultural machinery for subsequent leasing—as well as reducing commission fees for loan guarantee agreements through Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC. It should be noted that, in line with the directives of the Head of State given at the expanded Government meeting on February 7, 2024, the Government had already allocated the first 100 billion tenge in December 2024 to increase funding for sowing and harvesting operations in 2025.
