Financial leverage for exporters

Representatives of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC (ACC) organized a press tour for journalists from regional and national media in East Kazakhstan.

Famous farms of the Kokpektinsky district became the objects of visit and their close attention. These are the Elimay Kokpekty farm, which successfully develops livestock breeding, as well as the Kuzmich LLP, which is involved in the fishing industry.

HIGH STANDARDS

A characteristic feature is that the projects implemented here are aimed at producing products that are export-oriented. ACC aims to increase funding for such projects. Because the need for investment in the production and processing of agricultural products is growing. According to information from the press release, to date the company has financed a total of 298 projects totaling more than 272.7 billion tenge. Let’s look at how important and significant such support is for villagers using the example of specific enterprises in East Kazakhstan region.

A modern feeding complex, which has no analogues in the region, is being created in the village of Kokzhaik. It must be said that the farm “Elimai Kokpekty” breathed new life into the locality. Determined the prospects for its development for many years to come. The project manager, a talented entrepreneur of a new generation, Bolat Bekberdinov, introduced the guests to the farm. He spoke about the main goals and objectives of breeding livestock, fattening animals, and supplying meat to other countries for export.

“To do this, we must be competitive and ensure that our products comply with the most stringent international standards,” emphasized Bolat Bekberdinov. – We are also working hard to reduce production costs and reduce the cost of feed. This requires watering forage and industrial crops.

Support within the framework of government programs is important here. We already have experience working together with ACC. In 2018, a preferential loan was received to create a feedlot for 3,000 head of cattle. According to company representatives, continuing this partnership is in the interests of all parties. First of all, the local population.

ANCHOR PROJECT

Fish farmers of Kuzmich LLP solve two problems at once. This is the replenishment of fish resources and the supply of products for export, which fully meets the goals set at the level of the Government of the country. In each region, the fishing sector needs to be turned into one of the basic industries. This seems to be a real way to supply the population with fish rich in proteins. Eastern Kazakhstan is one of the four regions with solid potential in this direction.

There are a great number of reservoirs with clean water in the region. According to experts, they are quite suitable for breeding valuable commercial fish, obtaining high-quality products for domestic consumption or supplies outside the region and country.

According to the press release, Agricultural Credit Corporation JSC finances commercial fish farming under the Agroexport, Agribusiness, and Economics of Simple Things programs. In total, there are ten projects in his portfolio.

For example, in the Kokpektinsky district there is a cage farm for breeding valuable fish species (sturgeon, salmon, whitefish). Using borrowed funds in the amount of 50 million tenge, Kuzmich LLP expanded its farm in 2018 as part of the Agroexport program.

“To further develop production, we used the funds received to purchase, in particular, refrigeration equipment and cage lines for growing fish,” says Deputy Director Bakyt Mubarakova. – Until the beginning of this year, products were exported to China, as well as some neighboring countries.

The export assortment included fish from popular local species - pike perch, bream, perch and many others, as well as fish fillets and minced meat.

Journalists visited different working areas of Kuzmich LLP. In special pools under the roof you can see the breeding stock of representatives of various valuable fish species, including sturgeon. The juvenile fish, having gained a certain weight and condition in the required season and period, move in stages to other areas.

In large cages on the coast of the Bukhtarma Reservoir, fish farmers work and constantly monitor their restless charges.

Following the press tour, the organizers gave a brief commentary to media representatives.

– The first project stimulates the active development of beef cattle breeding. A closed chain is being created that will unite the efforts of large, medium and small farms. In the end, everyone will benefit from this,” said Erbol Kubentaev, director of the ACC branch in East Kazakhstan region. – Using the example of the second project, we also see the result of the introduction of effective technologies new to the region in the fishing industry.
