The holding actively supports the development of small and medium-sized businesses, in particular through the Damu fund, which has supported more than 15 thousand entrepreneurs. The head of state was reported that since the beginning of 2023, Otbasy Bank has helped provide housing for 29 thousand families. The Bank actively participates in the rental subsidy program, which is a form of free government support for citizens, including disabled people of groups I and II, families raising disabled children, orphans, and large families. In the first half of the year, more than 9 thousand applications were approved. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed that more than 271 billion tenge had been allocated through Agricultural Credit Corporation JSC since the beginning of the year and about 9 thousand farmers had been supported. This year, 3.5 million hectares of land have been sown, which is 15% of the country’s total sown area. In order to strengthen food security and reduce import dependence, over 131 billion tenge was allocated for lending to investment projects in agriculture. Over 70% of the volume of financing in the agricultural sector comes from Agricultural Credit Corporation JSC and KazAgroFinance JSC. In conclusion, the President gave a number of specific instructions aimed at improving conditions for business development and improving social housing policy.
