Bakery for the village

The entrepreneur who opened the first bakery in the village of Orlik is called Bibigul Shakhmanova. The woman attributes the success of her business idea to the financial support received from the Agricultural Credit Corporation.

A small workshop for the production of flour products has become an adornment of a village rich in history. Three thousand residents did not leave the opening of the bakery unnoticed - it already has its own regular customers. The enterprise, opened a year ago, employs seven local residents, from whose hands a dozen types of fresh and tasty flour products arrive on the shelves.

To open and modernize the bakery, the entrepreneur twice received a loan from the Agricultural Credit Corporation. Every day, 300 loaves of bread are baked in the workshop from premium flour.

“In the Atyrau region this year, the amount of lending to farmers and rural entrepreneurs amounted to 3 billion 144 million tenge. By the end of the year we plan to allocate another 500 million tenge to support small businesses and agricultural producers,” says the deputy director of the branch of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC for Atyrau region Rakhmet Zhanbyrov.

The corporation supports not only livestock and crop production, processing of agricultural products, but also residents who have opened small businesses in rural areas. About 1,500 Athurau residents received loans from a financial institution this year. Bakery owner Bibigul is one of them. The plans are to increase the range of products. The woman plans to receive funds for business development from her trusted partner - the Agricultural Credit Corporation.
