JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation, a member of the Baiterek Holding group of companies, announces the launch of additional terms within the voluntary insurance system for the agro-industrial complex, aimed at increasing the accessibility and attractiveness of insurance coverage for agricultural producers. This was reported by the company's press service. Thus, farmers can purchase livestock and poultry insurance policies not only for the traditional annual period, but also for shorter operating periods of 3, 6, and 9 months. The transition to more flexible timeframes is driven by the need to adapt insurance products to the actual production cycles of enterprises. This innovation fully takes into account the specific operations of feedlots, reproductive farms, and other specialized enterprises whose business processes are not tied to a full calendar year. Insurance rates for short-term contracts are calculated proportionally to the base annual rates and directly depend on the size of the insured livestock. The program is valid throughout Kazakhstan year-round and covers cattle, sheep and goats, horses, pigs, and poultry. The offered insurance products are multi-risk and guarantee comprehensive financial protection. They cover a wide range of threats, including outbreaks of infectious and particularly dangerous diseases, natural disasters, fires, illegal actions by third parties, and various accidents, from lightning strikes and wild animal attacks to life-threatening injuries. Substantial government support remains a significant advantage for farmers: under the subsidy, the state covers 80% of the insurance policy cost, while the farmer only needs to pay the remaining 20%. To participate in the program, agricultural producers must ensure mandatory registration of their animals in the Agricultural Livestock Identification System (ALIS). Applications for insurance coverage can be submitted online through the specialized agricultural insurance information system, which operates on the Kezekte.kz platform.
