The head of the Kostanay farm spoke about the advantages of cooperation with ACC

Alexander Tsoi began farming in 2019 and is already selling his products in two regions of Kazakhstan.

The head of the farm explains this rapid growth in work due to timely support from the state.

“Since childhood, I have liked to engage in agriculture, specifically vegetable growing. In 2012, I started working in one of the peasant farms in the region, working as a foreman. Seven years later, my wife and I decided to take a risk and open our own enterprise producing vegetables. What does a start-up business need at the first stage? Of course, money. Ordinary loans are exorbitantly expensive. Then the idea came to contact the Agrarian Credit Corporation. Because in terms of finance, the issue was acute. After all, he had a strong team: a good accountant, a manager, and tractor drivers. All they needed was money," recalls Alexander Tsoi.

In 2020, the vegetable grower submitted an application to the ACC for a loan to replenish working capital and purchase machinery and equipment.

“The Agrarian Credit Corporation actively supports vegetable growers, so the Tsoi farm was issued a budget loan for the purchase of agricultural equipment and for working capital. The entrepreneur purchased a tractor, a plow, a horizontal milling machine, and a harrow. Now the peasant farm carries out the entire cycle of agricultural work on its own without the use of additional equipment ", - reported the Kostanay regional branch of ACC.

And if Alexander Tsoi began his journey as a vegetable grower with 20 hectares of cultivated area, today he already has 160 hectares of fields. He mainly grows onions. The products are sold in the markets of Kostanay and Kokshetau.

“With experience, I realized that it is effective to invest in the purchase of agricultural machinery. Tractors purchased through the ACC came in very handy, especially at the stage of the formation of a peasant farm. I try to mechanize all work, because it is more productive than manual labor,” says the vegetable grower.

The head of the peasant farm plans to sell his products throughout the country, but for this he needs to expand the sown area and implement a land irrigation project.

“This year we need to close the issue of electricity for the irrigation system. Now we use drip irrigation on 60 hectares, and we plan to increase this figure to 100 percent. As soon as we implement the electricity project, we will again turn to the ACC for financial support,” says Alexander Tsoi.
