Kazakhstan is the second country in the world for the development of sheep breeding, the leader of this market is Australia. There are about 18 million heads of sheep in the country. So far, the share of breeding animals in this area is small - only 10-15%. However, the Kazakh fat tail breed is in high demand on the world market. Interest in sheep breeding in the country is not decreasing. A resident of the village of Rassvet, Kyzylzhar district, North Kazakhstan region, Erali Zhakeev, started a business for the development of sheep breeding this year. To implement his initiative, he turned to the Agrarian Credit Corporation, which, after reviewing the project, approved the allocation of a preferential loan. “Previously, I already received a loan from a corporation for the purchase of horses and cattle. I registered as an individual entrepreneur in 2013, since then I have been engaged in livestock farming. I was engaged in dairy farming for 3 years, received a good profit from the sale of milk. But over time, difficulties arose with hiring milkmaids ", I had to sell the cows. This year, under the Isker program, I took out a loan for 40 million tenge and purchased 98 sheep and rams of the Kazakh fat-tailed breed. So I switched to small cattle. The loan is very profitable, convenient for rural residents," says Erali Zhakeev. The Kyzylzhar farmer today has a total of about 200 sheep. 5-6 of them have already given birth, the main lambing is expected in December. The entrepreneur plans to purchase about 80 more heads of sheep. You just need to resolve the issue of collateral that is necessary to obtain a loan. Usually in the spring the farmer starts selling livestock. There are opportunities to increase the number of livestock, you just need to use them correctly. There is land, equipment, soil, feed, workers - the main thing is that there is a desire to work. Photo: azattyq-ruhy.kz
