The Chairman of the Baiterek holding visited an automobile plant in the Chinese city of Baoding

On the eve of the visit of the Head of State to the People's Republic of China, the management of the Baiterek holding visited a number of production facilities in the Chinese city of Baoding, a Kazinform correspondent reports.

The first object of the visit was the Syushui plant, where Kanat Sharlapaev got acquainted with the work of the plant producing HAVAL cars using the CKD method. It is worth noting that this technology is planned for implementation as part of a new Astana Motors project.

“First of all, let me thank you for your interest in cooperation and partnership with the Baiterek holding,” said K. Sharlapaev during his welcoming speech.

The plant's productivity is impressive: 600 cars are assembled here in one shift, and its maximum capacity can reach 250 thousand cars in 3 shifts. In addition, more than 500 Swedish-made robots work in the welding shop. Welding of 5 different models can be carried out simultaneously.
One of the subsidiaries of Baiterek NMH - the Industrial Development Fund - is participating in financing the construction of a multi-brand car production plant in Kazakhstan, which will be built, including with the help of Great Wall Motor Company Limited.

Next, the chairman of the Baiterek holding visited the test drive site, which is rightfully considered the longest test road in China, here there is an opportunity to test all the capabilities of the cars and reach maximum speed. The 2,400-meter-long track features 10 different types of road surfaces.

On an area of 250 thousand square meters. meters are located: research center, trial production center, testing center, design development center, data processing center.

Today, the Haval Technical Center employs more than 10 thousand employees, about 1000 of them are leading local and foreign experts.

The next facility was the Feng Chao battery production plant, which launched the first mass production of cobalt-free lithium batteries, where K. Sharlapaev got acquainted with the company’s laboratory, the R&D Center for Hydrogen Energy, and also attended a presentation of projects and machines.
After getting acquainted with all the objects planned for visiting, constructive negotiations took place between the delegation from Kazakhstan and the management of the enterprises.
