In Kazakhstan, year-round insurance is provided in the livestock industry, where the farmer pays only 20% of the cost of the insurance policy and 80% is subsidized by the state. Insurance products for small ruminants are divided into regular and extended coverage. Insurance products in the industry are multi-risk, covering such risks as infectious and especially dangerous diseases, fire, malicious acts of third parties, natural or natural hazards, as well as accidents - explosion, lightning strike, strangulation, animal attack, snake or insect bite, traumatic injuries not compatible with life and others. Under these products, farmers can insure livestock against risks on their own farm (regular coverage) and on the territory of neighboring farms within a radius of 5 km (extended coverage). The number of cattle insured must be at least 30. The insurance rate depends on the number of insured livestock and the coverage area. Insurance payments are guaranteed by the international company Swiss Re, which is involved as a reinsurance company. Farmers can insure their risks in all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. All procedures, starting from the conclusion of the contract and ending with payments, are made online on the information service Agroinsurance, located on the platform Kezekte.kz. At the same time, the participant of agroinsurance only needs to have an electronic digital signature.a
