Agrarian Credit Corporation announces the start of accepting applications from insurance companies to insure winter crops against drought for 2024-2025, within the framework of state support measures for insurance in the agro-industrial complex. The insurance product covers the risk based on the lack of moisture in the soil. The insurance is online on the Kezekte.kz platform. The application for insurance of winter crops must be submitted until August 29, 2024. In the personal cabinet the farmer needs to specify his fields, identify the insurance company, conclude an insurance contract, pay a part of the insurance premium in the amount of 20% of the sum insured, and the insurer in turn will send an application to the operator to subsidize 80% of the insurance premium. Basic conditions of soil moisture deficit insurance for winter crops (3 phases): insurance coverage period from September 15, 2024 to June 30, 2025; insurance tariff is 4.8% of the sum insured; maximum insurance payout is 48% of the sum insured. Farmers of the following regions can insure their crops: Akmola, Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Abay and Ұlytau regions.
