A new farm has opened in Zerenda, supplying the local market with 600 liters of fresh milk daily. Milk production was started by Akmola entrepreneur Myrzakhmet Zhanbekov. Having been involved in beef cattle breeding for many years, the farmer decided to change his direction to dairy farming. The Agrarian Credit Corporation helped implement the plans.

“We used to raise beef cattle. Over time, we sold the animals and switched to dairy cows. We built a commercial dairy farm and took out a loan from the Agricultural Credit Corporation for 75 million tenge. Borrowed funds made it possible to purchase Simmental heifers in Pavlodar. In addition, we imported and installed a Turkish milking equipment, and also bought a feed dispenser and a tractor,” said the head of the peasant farm, Myrzakhmet Zhanbekov.

Today the farm milks 90 cows, which produce 600 liters of milk per day. In March next year it is planned to reach full capacity - production of 428 tons of milk per year. There is an idea to open a milk processing plant.
