ACC joins the UN Global Compact
JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation, a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding, has joined the UN Global Compact. The Corporation's application was accepted on 12 October 2026. This was reported by the Corporation's press service.
The UN Global Compact brings together companies and organisations guided by ten fundamental principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environmental protection and anti-corruption. Participants in the initiative disclose information every year on how these principles are applied in their work.
The principles of the Global Compact are already reflected in ACC's Sustainable Development Policy and ACC's Development Strategy for 2024-2033. These documents set out approaches to responsible financing, corporate governance, human resources management, and environmental and social issues.
The Global Compact gives participants access to research, guidance and practical tools in the field of sustainable development, as well as to the experience of other companies and financial institutions. A separate area is sustainable finance, which addresses approaches to taking environmental, social and governance factors into account when making financial decisions.
For the agro-industrial complex, these issues relate to climate risks, the use of natural resources and business resilience. International approaches to sustainable finance may therefore be applied in the further development of ACC's financial instruments and internal processes.
Participation in the Global Compact is not a certification or a rating. Companies report independently on their implementation of the ten principles, and their reports are published on the UN initiative's platform.
ACC's first report under the UN Global Compact will be published in 2027.
