Financing for spring fieldwork and harvesting. Repaid in two instalments after harvest and in March.
Seasonal financing for sowing and harvesting, designed for crop producers and agricultural processors.
What can you spend it on?
- Seeds, fuel, fertilisers and crop protection products for fieldwork and harvesting.
- The amount is calculated using the standard cost per hectare of sown area.
- Processors may make advance purchases of agricultural products from suppliers.
How to repay
Tranche term is no more than 18 months. Principal is repaid 50% by 5 December and 50% by 5 March of the following year. Processors repay at maturity. Early repayment is permitted.
- At least three years of agricultural experience; otherwise, a regional authority recommendation is required.
- Owned or long-term leased sowing land; this does not apply to processors.
- A separate bank account for receiving and using the loan.
- No overdue taxes or loans and no negative equity.
- Collateral, founder guarantees, or a bank or Damu Fund guarantee.
