Over 104 billion tenge allocated to agribusiness development in Karaganda region over five years

Over the past five years, the agro-industrial complex of Karaganda region has received more than 104 billion tenge through the Karaganda branch of the Agrarian Credit Corporation. More than a third of this amount – 41.25 billion tenge – was provided last year and in the first six months of 2026, supporting six hundred local agricultural producers.

Notably, in the first half of 2026 the money reached the fields ahead of schedule: 175 farms in the region received 15.48 billion tenge even before the start of large-scale fieldwork. In agribusiness, this pace is decisive. Affordable loans at 5% per annum allowed farmers to stock up their warehouses with seeds, diesel fuel and spare parts well before the machinery went out into the fields. For comparison, over the whole of last year the branch issued 25.78 billion tenge to farmers.

At the same time, in 2026 the focus shifted to processing and livestock farming. Under the programme to support the food processing industry, more than ten food producers in the region received over 4 billion tenge. Among them are brands familiar to every resident of the region: NATIZHE SUT FABRIKASY, Aknar PF, APK Volynsky and Damir AA. Major processors, whose capacities had not been fully utilised due to a shortage of working capital, raised their utilisation to 80-100%. As a result, the plants received raw materials, and farmers gained a guaranteed market for their products.

How these schemes work on the ground can be seen from farms in Osakarovka district. Batayeva LLP, a grain producer with its own elevator complex and vehicle fleet, is gradually expanding its sown areas thanks to concessional financing under the Ken Dala 2 programme and new technologies. The neighbouring ZHASULAN peasant farm, which runs a dairy farm and provides permanent jobs to 14 villagers, borrows from ACC on a regular basis: in 2024 the farm became a participant in the Agrobusiness programme, and in 2026 it received financing under the Ken Dala programme in order to carry out the sowing campaign on time without delays.
