I financed a combine through Ken Dala 2 — now we harvest our own crops

Kostanay Region farmer Sergey Volkov explains how an ACC loan helped expand his grain business.

Sergey Volkov is a farmer from Kostanay Region, where grain production is the main branch of agriculture. His Kolos farm grows wheat and barley on 1,200 hectares.

Before receiving an ACC loan, the farm rented a combine from neighbouring farms and depended on their schedules during the peak harvest period.

“I applied to the regional ACC branch under the Ken Dala 2 programme. The entire process, from consultation to receiving the funds, took about two weeks, with no unnecessary requirements,” Sergey recalls.

The farm used the financing to purchase a combine. The 2025 harvest was completed at the optimal time and losses fell by 15%.

“The subsidised rate made the loan affordable for our farm. Our loan payment is lower than what we used to pay in rent.”
