Acceptance of applications for concessional financing of feedlots starts on 15 May

JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation, part of the Baiterek Holding group of companies, announces the start of acceptance of applications under the “Financing of Feedlots” subprogramme, implemented within the large-scale Agrobusiness programme. This initiative has been implemented since 2025 and is aimed at ensuring the country's food security and increasing Kazakhstan's export potential.

Under the subprogramme, farmers can gain access to “short-term” and affordable resources to support the production cycle. Financing is provided from commercial resources, while the interest rate is set at 5% per annum. The loan term is up to 12 months.

The funds are intended to replenish working capital. At least 70% of the loan amount must be used to purchase young cattle and small ruminants for further fattening.

Farmers may use related expenses (up to 30%) to purchase feed, fuel and lubricants, spare parts for forage harvesting and feed distribution machinery, as well as chips and tags for animal identification.

Financing is available both directly through ACC branches and through funding of credit partnerships, second-tier banks and microfinance organisations.

To participate in the programme, feedlot facilities must meet regulatory minimum capacity requirements: for cattle, the feedlot must have a capacity of at least 500 head, and for small ruminants, at least 1,000 head.

The borrower must have a registration number registered with the Department of Agriculture and an environmental permit, and must comply with technical standards regarding walking and feeding areas, windbreaks, heated drinkers, a quarantine area and a water supply system.

ACC pays particular attention to the transparency of the use of public funds.

“The feedlot programme is a rapid response tool that makes it possible to supply the domestic market with quality meat and stabilise prices on store shelves. We have simplified access to funds so that farmers can promptly purchase livestock and feed without being distracted by the search for expensive market financing,” ACC said.

To obtain advice and submit applications, farmers should contact the regional branches of JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation at their place of business.

Detailed information on the programme terms is available on the official website agrocredit.kz and via the Call Centre at 1408.
