Five SECs join the Igilik, Bereke and Zhailau programmes: 48.7 billion tenge allocated to livestock development
JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation has financed five social and entrepreneurial corporations (SECs) for a total of 48.7 billion tenge under the Igilik, Bereke and Zhailau areas. The funds are intended for subsequent lending to agricultural producers for the purchase of breeding stock. The list of SECs participating in the mechanism is expanding.
Financing was received by KOKSHE SEC in Akmola region, Taraz SEC in Zhambyl region, Aqjaiyq SEC in West Kazakhstan region and Soltustik SEC in North Kazakhstan region, and ULYTAU SEC in Ulytau region.
Under Igilik and Bereke, farmers can use borrowed funds to purchase breeding stock. The financing rate is 6% per annum, and the loan amount is up to 5 billion tenge. The financing term is up to 84 months, with a grace period for repayment of principal and interest of up to 24 months.
The Igilik and Bereke lending programmes are implemented within the framework of the Comprehensive Livestock Development Plan for 2026–2030, developed on the instructions of the Head of State. The Government has defined the plan as the basis for modernising the industry, increasing its productivity and expanding its export potential.
In 2026, 300 billion tenge has been allocated for concessional livestock lending. Under the Comprehensive Plan, the Igilik, Bereke and Zhailau lending products have been launched, covering different areas of the industry's development.
For livestock farming, this matters above all in terms of herd quality and productivity. The Comprehensive Plan provides not only for increasing livestock numbers, but also for improving genetic potential and developing pedigree breeding, modern reproduction technologies and production infrastructure.
A separate area, Zhailau, is designed for establishing new farms and developing pasture-based livestock farming. The programme provides financing for the acquisition of fixed assets and for construction and installation works. Thus, state support covers several links of the industry at once: Igilik and Bereke focus on financing the purchase of breeding stock, while Zhailau focuses on building new farms and breeding units “from scratch”. Under Zhailau, financing of up to 350 million tenge is available for a term of up to 120 months at a rate of 6% per annum.
