ACC begins accepting applications for subsidies for insurance premiums in the agricultural sector

JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation announces the start of acceptance of applications for subsidies for part of insurance premiums under voluntary insurance contracts in the agro-industrial complex. The programme has been in effect since 16 April 2026 and is aimed at reducing the financial risks of agricultural producers.

The programme supports farmers who insure production risks in crop and livestock farming. Under the current mechanism, the state compensates up to 80% of the cost of the insurance premium, while farmers bear only 20% of the costs. According to the Corporation, this model is intended to make insurance more accessible and to encourage its use in the industry.

Agricultural producers can insure spring crops against excess soil moisture, perennial plantings, in particular apple orchards, as well as farm animals, including cattle and small ruminants, horses, pigs and poultry.

Application deadlines depend on the type of insurance. For instance, for insurance of spring crops against excess moisture, documents are accepted until 30 June 2026, and for insurance of perennial plantings until 31 October 2026.

Applications are submitted online through the agro-industrial insurance information system hosted on the Kezekte.kz platform. ACC emphasises that digitalisation of the process makes it easier to access state support measures and speeds up the execution of insurance contracts.

The programme is expected to increase the resilience of agricultural production and reduce the impact of adverse natural factors on the financial results of agricultural enterprises.
