How farmers can protect their harvest during the harvest campaign

Acceptance of applications for crop insurance against excess soil moisture continues

Kazakhstan continues to accept applications for insurance of grain and oilseed crops against the risk of excess soil moisture during the harvest campaign. This was reported by the press service of JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation.

Applications for an insurance contract can be submitted until 30 June 2026 via the Kezekte.kz platform.

Insurance coverage is available to farmers in Abai region, Ulytau region, and Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions.

The insurance coverage period runs from 15 August to 14 October 2026 and covers risks associated with excess soil moisture during harvesting.

All procedures – from submitting an application and concluding a contract to receiving an insurance payout – are carried out electronically through the QALQAN agricultural insurance information system hosted on the Kezekte.kz platform. An electronic digital signature is required to participate.

The cost of an insurance policy for farmers has been reduced by 80% thanks to state subsidies. Thus, a farmer pays only 20% of the full cost of insurance.

JSC Agrarian Credit Corporation reminds that the acceptance of applications will end on 30 June, and recommends that agricultural producers arrange insurance coverage for the harvest campaign period in advance.
