The Agrarian Credit Corporation continues to provide operator insurance services in the agricultural sector. Currently, applications are being accepted for concluding crop insurance contracts against drought for winter crops. Insurance contracts against soil moisture deficiency for winter crops (3 phases) this year must be concluded before September 14 in the Qalqan information system. Since 2023, this system has been operating on the Kezekte.kz portal. The protection period for the above product is from September 15 to June 30 of the next calendar year. It should be noted that over 2 years of work under this program, 13 thousand hectares of crops were insured under 11 contracts. The premium amounted to more than 62 million tenge, of which subsidies amounted to over 44 million tenge. Payments as a result of insured events amounted to more than 14 million tenge. Risk insurance for the product works successfully, and the payments received were guaranteed by the international reinsurance company Swiss Re. Under index insurance contracts for soil moisture deficiency for winter crops, state support measures are provided in the form of subsidizing the insurance premium in the amount of 80%, that is, the farmer’s payment under the insurance contract is only 20% of the insured value. At the same time, we note that the tariffs for the index insurance product are 4.8% of the insured amount, the maximum payment is 48% of the insured amount of the amount under the contract.
