A farmer from Atyrau, Eldar Izbanov, is breeding Kazakh white-headed cattle. After graduation, having received a diploma in the specialty “builder-architect”, Eldar almost immediately went into agriculture. Today he is the head of a peasant farm located in the village of Ushagan, Kurmangazinsky district, Atyrau region. For several years, the farm kept outbred cattle, but over time, the farmer came to the need to improve the quality characteristics of the herd. Last summer, having taken out a loan from the Agrarian Credit Corporation, he purchased 96 cows and 4 bulls of the Kazakh white-headed breed. “On one of the information sites I read an article about the Agribusiness lending program. I contacted the Atyrau branch of the Agrarian Credit Corporation to find out all the nuances. I collected the necessary documents, submitted an application and received a loan at 6 percent for 10 years. The agreement established a grace period “It’s 1 year, so we’ll start repaying the loan only this summer,” says the head of the peasant farm, Eldar Izbanov. Today, calving has already begun on the farm: 15 white-headed calves were born. The farmer plans to increase his livestock and get his first profit in 2-3 years. According to experts, young animals of the Kazakh white-headed breed quickly gain weight: with proper feeding, a calf up to 18 months can gain up to 4 centners of weight. photo from the portal ElDala.kz
