The Agricultural Credit Corporation reported on the progress of the Productive Employment Program implementation

On July 26, 2018, the CCS held a briefing on the topic: Progress in the implementation of the Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship in the context of five social initiatives announced by the President.

As part of the Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 “Enbek”, using allocated money in 2017, the Agrarian Credit Corporation issued 2,020 loans totaling 12.7 billion tenge, of which 9.8 billion through credit partnerships , 2.9 billion through microfinance organizations.

869 loans worth 4.8 billion tenge were issued for start-up projects, including 529 loans totaling 2.9 billion tenge for Bastau-business projects.

Financing under the Program allowed the creation of 2,348 new jobs.

Loans are issued for livestock farming, crop production, as well as for non-agricultural businesses in rural areas through microfinance organizations and credit partnerships. In Kazakhstan, 195 credit unions have been created. The number of participants in credit partnerships is more than 17 thousand agricultural producers.

If there is a shortage of collateral, agricultural producers are provided with support in the form of guarantees that will cover the lack of collateral up to 85% (for start-up projects).

New for 2018 is the financing of Anchor Cooperations Corporation. It involves partnership of small and medium-sized peasant farms and agricultural cooperatives with processing enterprises. All agricultural producers can participate in it.

The maximum loan amount is up to 12,025,000 tenge (5,000 MCI). At the same time, within the framework of anchor cooperation, the Agrarian Credit Corporation provides financing to Program participants for the purchase of agricultural equipment for breeding cattle and small cattle and replenishing working capital.

As part of the fourth initiative, in 2018, with additional funds allocated from the budget, the amount of financing is 44.7 billion tenge. Of this amount, the Agrarian Credit Corporation will fund credit partnerships and microfinance organizations in the amount of 17.7 billion tenge, of which the first tranche is 11.4 billion tenge.

To date, the Corporation has 2,028 applications in progress for a total amount of 9,187 million tenge.

Of these, loans were issued for 2,408 million tenge, including 1,566 million tenge through CT and 842 million tenge by microfinance organizations. At the same time, the total amount for start-up projects is 728 million tenge for 167 projects.
