JSC “Agrarian Credit Corporation” informs that insurance companies have made payments under Phase 1 of the crop insurance product against soil moisture deficit. Drought insurance is provided in two-phase and three-phase formats. These products cover risks associated with soil moisture deficiency during the sowing season. This year, under the soil moisture deficit index insurance product (both two-phase and three-phase), 107 agricultural producers insured approximately 307,000 hectares of cereal, legume, and oilseed crops. According to satellite monitoring data, during the insurance coverage period in three regions – Aktobe, Ulytau, and West Kazakhstan – moderate, significant, and severe soil drought was recorded over an area of 14,000 hectares. As a result of insured events, insurance companies, in accordance with the terms of the agreements, made Phase 1 insurance payments in the amount of 55 million tenge. The insurance coverage period for cereal and legume crops under Phase 1 lasts from May 15 to June 14, under Phase 2 – from June 15 to July 14, and under Phase 3 – from July 15 to August 15, 2025. We remind that the entire insurance process – from submitting an application to receiving an insurance payment – is carried out through the QALQAN online insurance service, available on the Kezekte.kz platform. To access the system, agricultural producers must have a digital signature (EDS).
