From the city to the village to herd sheep

The microloan of the Isker program can be used by those wishing to build their own business in rural areas. Anastasia Shultz, a resident of the village of Priishimka in the North Kazakhstan region, received a loan to raise sheep.

The Schultz couple even exchanged city life for rural life for a cause they loved. They were able to buy 60 sheep of the Yedilbaev breed with a loan from the Agrarian Credit Corporation.

“We will pay over 5 years. It is beneficial because initially there is a year of vacation, that is, we will be able to get back on our feet, increase the livestock, there are already young animals. And then we will begin to pay off the loan gradually. This is, of course, convenient,” says Anastasia Shultz, head of IP “Schultz”.

Financing for the “Isker” program is provided within the framework of the National Project for Entrepreneurship Development. Loans are provided on preferential terms with an interest rate of 6% per annum, while the effective interest rate is from 6% per annum. The loan term is up to 7 years, the maximum loan amount is 7.5 million tenge, for participants in anchor cooperation - up to 24 million tenge.

Last year, under the Isker program, rural entrepreneurs received more than 20 billion tenge for opening and developing businesses.
