The slopes of Alatau are the historical birthplace of apples and tulips. That is why, in the Almaty region, along with livestock farming, gardening is being actively revived. "Apple Bee" LLP grows apple trees in the village of Shelek, Enbekshikazakh district. Previously, the farm had a garden spread over 34 hectares of land. But recently, successful agribusinessman Olzhas Sybanbaev decided to expand the garden and applied for a loan from the Agrarian Credit Corporation. “This is the first time we have received a soft loan from a corporation. As it turned out, this business is profitable, you can work. About 170 thousand Italian seedlings of the Golden Delicious, Fuji, and Gala varieties were planted on 44 hectares. We provided the garden with the necessary infrastructure - installed drip irrigation, a trellis system, and a net for protection from sunlight and hail. The microclimate in the garden, based on European technologies, is ideal for growing apples,” says the head of the enterprise, Olzhas Sybanbaev. While the new one is not yet producing a harvest. It takes 4 years to reach full capacity. When fully operational, the garden will produce 50 thousand tons of apples. But today the apple orchard is in full swing. While there is no vegetable storage, we have to rent it. All apples collected in the fall and winter are sold on the domestic market and abroad. In the future, it is planned to build our own fruit storage facility.
