Pedigree cattle are actively imported to North Kazakhstan region under the Sybaga program

Birzhan Shaimerdenov from the village of Dayyndyk, North Kazakhstan region, purchased 491 head of Simmental cattle under the Sybaga program.

“It all started when I started farming and decided to grow grain crops. This is where my business began,” says the head of the peasant farm “Shaimerdenov B.A.” - Business began to flourish. Every year we were pleased with good yields.”

Birzhan Abdilmanovich has been in agriculture since the late 90s. Under his leadership, the farm team achieves stable performance year after year. This is one of the most stable and developing farms in the region. He managed to increase the sown area to 6256 hectares, including grain crops to 4669 hectares, flax to 1587 hectares. All agrotechnical measures are observed on the farm, much attention is paid to the treatment of vapors and the application of mineral fertilizers. Along with crop production, the farm also engages in livestock farming.

It should be noted that Birzhan Shaimerdenov is engaged not only in the development of the agro-industrial sector, but also actively invests in the social sphere. Over the course of 20 years, he managed to ensure that in his native village of Dayyndyk people live no worse than in the city. Residents of the village Dayyndyk forgot how to carry water and light stoves. Last year, the entrepreneur spent almost $1 million on the development of his native land. There are 65 houses in the village of Dayyndyk. Half of them were built at the expense of local farming.

This year, Birzhan Shaimerdenov decided to take out a loan under the Sybaga program and purchase Simmental breeding stock. Having received a loan from the Agricultural Credit Corporation, the farmer purchased 491 head of cattle from Austria.

The Simmental cattle breed is gaining popularity in Kazakhstan. And it’s all about the double direction of productivity: good milk yield and weight gain plus strong immunity. “The breed is unpretentious and well adapted to our conditions,” says the head of the farm. The main direction of productivity of Simmental cattle is dairy and meat. Meat productivity indicators are no worse than those of representatives of meat breeds.
