Potatoes occupy an unconditional and special place in the diet of Kazakhstanis. Consumption of this product in our country is about 120-130 kg per capita per year. “Starting from 2020, we have been regular clients of the Agricultural Credit Corporation. The interest rate on the programs here is much lower than in other financial institutions. Very convenient for farmers like us. Basically, loan funds are used for planting spring crops, purchasing fuel and fertilizers. The conditions suit us, the quality of the services provided is the same, everything is done according to the “one window” principle,” says the head of the farm, Sergei Epatko.

Now the farm grows potatoes on 450 hectares; grains and vegetables occupy more than 6 thousand hectares. In recent years, drip irrigation technology has begun to be used. And this helped a lot, because this summer there was a severe drought in the region. With the help of modern irrigation systems, the farm managed to overcome the situation with minimal losses. The potato harvest per hectare was 30-35 tons, wheat - up to 10 centners per hectare.
