Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Agriculture Umirzak Shukeyev, during a working trip to the Turkestan region, visited a number of facilities financed by the Agricultural Credit Corporation

The purpose of the delegation’s visit to the Turkestan region, headed by the Minister of Agriculture, is to explain the state program for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2021. Also during the trip, there was a visit to a number of facilities financed by the Agricultural Credit Corporation under the Agroexport lending program.

Over the past 2 years, 9 large projects have been implemented through the Corporation’s financing under the Agroexport program. 5 of them are industrial greenhouse complexes: AL-maida&Saray sakhiy LLP; Alt Company INVEST LLP; KH "Barakat"; IP "Shindauletov"; TRADE AGRO INVEST LLP. The total capacity of the complexes is more than 5 thousand tons of vegetables per year, with a total area of 11.3 hectares. Thanks to the opening of greenhouses, 177 jobs were created.

For reference: The Agroexport program provides preferential financing for the creation and development of intensive gardens in the amount of 50 million tenge for a period of up to 10 years. This program is being implemented thanks to preferential conditions using attracted budget funds and funds from the Unified Pension Pension Fund, thereby achieving a remuneration rate of 8% per annum. A farmer can receive a loan directly from the Corporation, or from a credit partnership, second-tier bank or leasing company at 8% (for the purchase of fixed assets), at 11.28% (for replenishing working capital). Lending is carried out in the direction of creating and developing intensive apple and cherry orchards, constructing fruit storage facilities and processing enterprises with export potential.

The creation of an intensive apple orchard of the SPK “Kazygurt Baktary” on an area of 106 hectares was also financed. The launch of the project will take place in October next year. The planned capacity is 4,240 tons of apples per year. 51 jobs.

The corporation financed the purchase of equipment for the production of apple juice by DALA-FRUIT.KZ LLP. Starting from October of this year, 15 people will be provided with work at the site. The project capacity is 500 tons of products per year.

Financing intensive orchards and berry fields is one of the priorities for the Agrarian Credit Corporation. The export potential of fruit and berry products is very high today. The consolidation of efforts of the state and private business in this segment shows positive dynamics from year to year.

One of the successful projects is financing the production of agricultural machinery assembly. It provides for the implementation of the second stage of the investment project for the production of tractors. The first stage of the project was aimed at the construction of production, administrative and service buildings and the purchase of equipment for small-unit assembly of tractors.

Today, an agreement is planned with one of the world’s famous automotive brands to import 150 vehicle kits. In the future, Kaz Kioti, a tractor production plant, will assemble 150 tractors similar to foreign models.
