147 thousand tractors, 38 thousand grain harvesters and other agricultural machinery with suspended equipment are working today in Kazakhstan’s fields. The numbers themselves are impressive. But there is one caveat: the wear of this equipment is 76%. But the technical equipment of any farm is the key to efficient work, increasing labor productivity and reducing production costs. That is why Sergey Okunev, a farmer from the village of Mergen in the Shal akyn district of the North Kazakhstan region, thought about updating his machine and tractor fleet. Hermes Agro LLP, which he opened back in 2004, is engaged in crop production and livestock farming. The farmer received funds for the purchase of new equipment from the Agricultural Credit Corporation. “The old is the old, this is especially felt during the sowing and harvesting campaign. Last year we took out a soft loan and purchased two Case IH 6150 combine harvesters, two MacDon combines, two trimmers, a lawn mower, a sprayer, etc. And this is not the first loan received from the corporation. Prior to this, loan funds were used to update capital equipment and increase turnover. The loan is very profitable, otherwise we would not have become regular clients of the corporation,” says Sergei Okunev, head of Hermes Agro LLP. Today, the North Kazakhstan farm sows 10 thousand hectares with oilseeds, grains and fodder crops, and keeps 650 heads of cattle. And new technology makes it possible to carry out sowing and harvesting efficiently and on time. Modern powerful agricultural technology is capable of solving several problems at once, and the results are already visible. Now you can increase the area under cultivation. Moreover, there is a reliable and responsible partner who will help implement our plans - the Agricultural Credit Corporation.
