Kairat Kabyrzhanov is a native of Semey, but has been living in Ekibastuz, Pavlodar region, for many years. Having registered as an individual entrepreneur 2 years ago, he opened a sewing workshop. Its peculiarity is that people with disabilities work here. The entrepreneur himself belongs to this category. At first, sewing machines and materials for work were purchased. But over time, the need arose for its own premises. “I received about 6 million tenge as a loan from the Agricultural Credit Corporation. The loan is very profitable, especially for small businesses like ours. We bought a building with these funds. I used to work as an engineer in the sewing workshop of the Society of the Blind, and learned to sew there. Currently we have 6 people working in our workshop. We sew medical gowns, gloves, blankets with national patterns, bride’s trousseau, and bed linen to order,” says Kairat Kabyrzhanov. Recently, an entrepreneur bought an embroidery machine. Now the dowry can be decorated with fancy patterns or embroidery. Finished goods are sold in our own store, which was opened in one of the premises. Now Kairat already has students who want to learn the sewing craft. The next challenge is to expand the business and move to a larger building.
