A resident of the Baidibek district of the Turkestan region, Nurlan Pernebekov, came to agribusiness with big plans. A former builder, he built the Oralbek ata farm in his native village of Shaldar. For several years he raised sheep. But in order for strong lambs to be born, it is necessary to update the breed. It is ineffective to do this little by little, so last year the farmer turned to the Agricultural Credit Corporation to improve the quality characteristics of his flock.

- Received a loan to purchase 300 sheep under the Agribusiness program. I purchased a stud ram of the Gissar breed. Last year the farm had its first lambing. If lambs are well fed in winter, they grow quickly and gain weight. I received a soft loan for the first time, it’s profitable, there are holidays. We prepare our own feed and sow it on our own plots,” says the farmer.

The flock is growing, and the number is approaching 500. Now the entrepreneur’s goal is to increase the number of sheep to a thousand. Then it will be possible to supply serious quantities of meat to the market. The head of the farm plans to repay the loan ahead of schedule and take out another one, now to increase the number of cattle and horses. This is how the farmer effectively uses the opportunities of government support.
