The long-term rating of the Agrarian Credit Corporation was confirmed

JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation" (hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) announces that on November 10, 2022, the international rating agency Fitch Ratings confirmed the long-term ratings of the issuer - JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation" - in foreign and national currency at the level of "BBB-". The ratings outlook is “Stable”.

The rating affirmation reflects Fitch's continued view of the Corporation's strong ties to the government due to its important role in providing affordable credit to agricultural producers and consolidating agricultural assets and functions within the company.

The corporation is part of the Baiterek Holding and lends to the agro-industrial complex on favorable terms: low interest rates and long terms, thereby helping to ensure food security and increase the country's export potential.

The Corporation's main clients are small and medium-sized enterprises, often located in remote areas and with collateral in rural areas, which means it is difficult to attract financing from conventional commercial organizations. The Corporation's loans are provided at lower rates and with a longer repayment period compared to commercial banks, as well as with more flexible collateral requirements.

State support is emphasized by the unification of all agricultural development institutions within the Corporation. Thus, in December 2021, the Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture, specializing in microcredit to agricultural producers, was added to the Corporation; in July 2022, Baiterek Holding transferred to the Corporation 100% of the shares of KazAgroFinance JSC (BBB-/Stable), which provides leasing services to agricultural producers.

The corporation operates in all regions of Kazakhstan through a network of branches. Since its creation, it has been participating in various large-scale government programs aimed at modernizing and developing the agricultural sector.
