A press conference on the topic “Conducting and Financing of Spring Fieldwork” was held at the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants included Vice Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Taszhurekov, Director of the Crop Production Department Nazgul Khatepova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC Timur Ayapbergenov, and Deputy Chairman of the Board of KazAgroFinance JSC Erkebulan Zhumzhaev. "Last year, for the first time, financing began as early as December, well ahead of the spring field and harvesting campaigns. As of today, the Agrarian Credit Corporation has formed a pool of applications for the 2025 spring field and harvesting work, totaling 422 billion tenge to support over 6,000 agricultural producers, covering 5.3 million hectares of cropland. From this pool, 4,243 agricultural enterprises have already been financed for the cultivation of 4.3 million hectares of farmland, with a total funding amount of 278 billion tenge," said Timur Ayapbergenov. Financing is available through the Agrarian Credit Corporation, second-tier banks, credit partnerships, socio-entrepreneurial corporations, as well as microfinance organizations and regional investment centers. The interest rate for borrowers is 5% per annum, with repayment due no later than March 1, 2026. "In case of insufficient collateral, a guarantee from the DAMU Fund covering up to 85% of the loan amount is available," emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Board. In accordance with the President’s directive, up to 700 billion tenge will be allocated for this year's spring field and harvesting work, which is more than double last year’s amount (321.5 billion tenge was utilized last year to finance 5,098 agricultural enterprises for the cultivation of 5.6 million hectares), of which 560 billion tenge will be raised from market capital sources.
