High-quality raw materials are the key to successful production

Almaty is one of the leading regions of the republic in milk production. Last year, the country produced 6.2 million tons of milk, of which 842 thousand tons were produced in this region. One of the farms that contributed to milk production is located in the village of Shien, Uzynagash district.

The head of the Bolashak Agro farm, Temirlan Myrzakul, was not mistaken when he argued that milk production is a profitable business. But to create a modern dairy farm, you need funds. That is why the entrepreneur turned to the Almaty branch of the Agrarian Credit Corporation.

“We brought 32 Simmental and 68 Holstein-Friesian heifers from Europe. This year we expanded the farm to 400 animals. We plan to receive up to 4 tons of milk per day. All this became possible thanks to a soft loan. Now animals imported from abroad are adapting to our weather conditions. Artificial insemination is carried out to ensure a year-round milk production cycle,” says Temirlan Myrzakul, head of the Bolashak Agro farm.

The farm employs 25 people who are currently preparing for winter and preparing feed. The entrepreneur's immediate plans include purchasing imported equipment to open a small milk processing plant. Thus, Bolashak residents intend to process the produced raw materials themselves and supply them to store shelves. In the meantime, milk is sold to a client from another region - the raw materials are purchased by a milk processing plant.
