This year, agricultural producers insured 322 thousand hectares of cultivated area against drought and 126 thousand hectares against rain. The insurance premium amounted to 3 billion  tenge, of which 2.4 billion tenge was subsidized by the state. Under concluded insurance contracts against soil moisture deficiency, the period of insurance protection has begun.

The Agricultural Credit Corporation continues to provide operator insurance services in the agricultural sector.

In crop production for grains, pulses and oilseeds, index insurance products cover risks based on the lack and excess of moisture in the soil.

Agro-industrial complex insurance in our conditions is a zone of risky farming. As a result of the drought of the last 4 years and prolonged rains during the harvesting period, when double normal precipitation falls, insurance has become a popular tool for protecting the property interests of agricultural producers. In addition, the new insurance system increases the availability of financing for agricultural entities.

Considering the seasonality of this industry, insurance in crop production is completed in 2024.
