Agrarian Credit Corporation informs about the insurance payment for Phase 1 under the product of crop insurance against excess soil moisture in 2024. The two-phase insurance product covers the risk based on excess soil moisture during harvesting operations of grain and oilseed crops. In the current year under the index insurance product of excess soil moisture (2-phase) 48 agricultural enterprises insured 126 thousand hectares of crops. The insurance tariff under the product amounted to 3% of the sum insured. The period of insurance coverage under the first phase lasts from August 15 to September 14, under the second phase - from September 15 to October 14, 2024. The maximum insurance payout for the product is 21%. According to space monitoring data, during the period of insurance coverage moderate, significant and strong excess moisture in the soil on the area of 105 thousand hectares was recorded in the insurance territory. As a result of the insured event, insurance companies in accordance with the terms of the insurance contract will pay 40 SHTP insurance amount of 628 million tenge.
